Unless you are required by department regulations to
carry a full sized Glock off duty, why not carry a
smaller size Glock or a Kahr? You can get them in .45
ACP, .40 S&W or 9mm whichever you are required to
carry. I would recommend a fanny pack made
specifically to carry a handgun. Bianchi makes a large
size and there are any number of other manufacturers,
Bag Master comes to mind. They all have fanny packs
with holsters in the main compartment. If you get one
like Bianchi that has its name is large white letters,
I would take a permanent marker and go over the name
so it doesn't stand out so much. It is a little
self-defeating to have the name stitched on in white
letters against a black background, especially when it
is a well known holster name like Bianchi. There is
also Coronado leather. Nice packs but look a little
too nice for bike riding. The reason why I would
recommend a fanny pack is that it is always with you
whenever you are off the bike. Unhooking a bar bag is
a pain if you have to do it several times in a row and
you certainly don't want to go in some building and
leave your gun in the bar bag, especially if it is the
local convenience store.
