Hi,

My wife and I retired early and thought a tandem would be a good way to travel. We bought ours from a couple in Tulsa who said they used it for a couple of trips and the bike had about 700 miles. We returned to our home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with it in its suitcases and I assembled it. We've not gotten into using a tandem so the bike has sat in my garage for the year we have owned it. It needs a good home.

It's a bright yellow Bike Friday, Family Tandem 'Q' C406. According to Bike Friday invoice number #30225, it weighs 22.76 pounds, has a T655 Frame, and on 3/9/00 its new cost was $2597. I want what I have in it, $1600.

It has 20" tires. The front (captain's) handlebars are marked, 'Super Europa 2'. I could find no markings on the rear handlebars. It has Shimano RSX rim brakes and a drum brake with an aluminum heat sink.

It has SRAM 3x hub with 21 speeds, a 3 speed hub with 7 speed gearing. It has a tire pump, a small zippered pouch for tools, money, etc., a rear flashing red light, and a scissors kickstand. The seats are Serfas. It comes with a video, a brief instruction manual, and a notebook of information. It does not have fenders.

The bike's seats and handle bars have a wide range of adjustment.

It comes with two hard sided Carlton suitcases and small tube framed two wheel trailer, all in good shape.

The bike is complete and rides fine. The surfaces where the tubes have been inside other tubes appear dirty but I have not scrubbed them or applied solvent to clean them up and I have not waxed the bike. Otherwise the paint is in good shape and there are no major scratches.

Why not come to Idaho Falls to pick it up; we're only 100 miles from Yellowstone Park and Grand Teton National Park, you could fly into Idaho Falls, pick up the bike and tour the two parks, and fly out of Jackson Hole. Otherwise I'll ship it at your expense.

I can send pictures by e-mail and make a video of it if you wish, showing details. I'd be glad to talk about it but I really don't know much about the bike.

Regards,
