In this class of situations, the traditional phrase is "How big was the guy
who put this on?" ­ justifying one's inability to get it off.

In this situation, I was the guy who put it on, and I did so with a normally
proportioned 6 mm. Allen.  I clearly didn't THINK it was on "that tight."
The fact remains that anyone traveling who did the same on a Friday would
get a rude surprise at re-packing time, when the normal Allen did nothing ­
and he/she would be very likely to have a plane to catch.
