A hub dynamo works fine on the Friday as long as you get one designed
for the rpm of 20 inch wheels. I use a Schmidt. It does add weight,
but I like the convenience when traveling.
I'd worry about bottle generators as well as fork mounted lights when
folding.
I use a Lumotec Oval Plus mounted with a long doubled ended nut off the
stem quick release. Bike Friday provided the nut. I chose a led blinky
on my rear rack to avoid wiring hassles.
Any dynamo with a light mounted on stem or handlebars will be a pain if
pulling the stem regularly for folding unless you add a plug into the
wiring harness.
My mate uses a 3 led NightRider and a 5 led Cateye mounted on a Minoura
space mount for her commuting Friday which folds up by her feet under
her desk in her office.
