=v= Yeah, I mostly get by with one bike, though in NYC there
is this concept of a "beater bike," a much cheaper bike to
use when you think you won't have a safe place to lock up your
good bike. During a spate of city-sanctioned bike seizures
over the past year, I was getting around on a beater: a
circa 1971 one-speed Italian folding bike.

=v= I tend to patch the rear tube without removing the wheel.
