Lucky you to get the TA cranks, which, I agree with Peter White, are 
beautiful.  If you want to use a Campy hub, Branford Bike 
(www.branfordbike.com) has a detailed section of their website on 8, 9 
and 10 speed hubs, and which can be converted to which. But if you move 
to the Campy hub you will have to change to Campy shifters as well, 
which can increase the cost (I prefer the Campy shifters to the Shimanos 
but if you haven't used Campy you should try them out as some people 
don't like them).  You could easily stick with the Capreo and get a nice 
gear range for touring since you will have so much flexibility on the 
front end with the TA's.
