David:

All the posts you have read are right on as to describing BFs in general.
Sandy and I had NWT each for 5 years that we used for unsupported tours
using the cases/trailers. Never any problems. We upgraded to Air Glides
in 2000 through the trade-in program (only 1 of 2 that I know of, and the
other company only did it 1 time a year) because we wanted a smoother ride
that comes from the suspension, and will be using them for 4 months this
summer in Europe. For me personally, all my 100-mile/day rides except 1
have been on a BF. I used both the NWT and AG for commuting in Phoenix, AZ
traffic year-round (also commuted on my SRD), and the AG for the timed El
Tour de Tucson. The NWT is a very good bike, and based on your needs
description, would probably be the best fit for you. Do call BF and have
them go over all the numerous option available to you. You will be a very
happy rider with your BF and it will be the bike of choice.
