I have ridden and owned both. I did not notice the new one being
appreciably "taller" than the old one, so I suspect that your feet won't
be really any more higher off the ground. How tall are you? This may be
something to run by the Bike Friday sales guys.
As for the rest, I think the folding may be a bit easier on the new
one, but the old isn't all that difficult. The weight difference is
noticeable, and the performance boost is more than just noticeable,
since it is lighter and more aerodynamic.
