I've built both the SON and Shimano NX30 into 406mm wheels.  I have a
SON front wheel for my NWT.

They work great.

The NX30 is quite a bit cheaper, but not really designed for 20" wheels
so the resistance is much higher than the SON.  It is still low enough
that I used that wheel to ride across WA state a few years back.
