What you describe you can do on most any bicycle in the bike shop (above
The one big advantage I suppose that a BF suitcase trailer offers is
that you can carry your case with you and don't have to leave it
anywhere (or look for a box for the return flight).
If you go with panniers, you need to pay attention to rack options and
capacity, as the folding bikes may vary in what they offer.
