Your issue could be 101 different possibilities.  Try and listen for where the noise is coming from.  Where you are in the pedal stoke.  Which side.  Some of the issues I've experienced over the years are these....
 
Shoe cleats
Crank arm bolts (torqued correctly)
Pedals - tight?  Try a bit of WD40 on them (cleat mechanism) as well.
Spokes - quick check by pinching them all or using a tool to tap and listen for consistent ring.
Check the cable ends on FD to verify it isn't contacting the crank or something else
Put the bike on a stand and see if you can duplicate the sound?
