It never rains but it buckets down. Not only does my camera break, my powerbook adapter get fried, my hard drives subsequently mysteriously fail to mount, but now, after months of waiting, my Bike Friday work permit is finally renewed for 1 more year, 2 days before I'm due to fly back to the usa... And they spell my last name wrong, leaving the "i" out of Chiang. God I hate my name. I'm going to change it to something genuinely exotic like Van Waert or Lanzetta or Voigtsberger...
Read on if you're the real deal...
Can I wing it? An officer at the 800 USCIS number said, I will most certainly not be allowed to get off the plane when I fly back Wed Aug 6. Can it be that bad? Worse thing is, my h1b visa expires Aug 14, and I'm supposed to be in NYC Sep 8 where 5 tikits are going to be on the catwalk as part of fashion week!
Please email me off list with any gut feelings, no would-be lawyer postulators please, this is serious. In lieu of your $400 per hour fee I will bring you a gift from downunder if I ever get back into the usa... a genuine Aussie camera lanyard to be used as described in www.bikefriday.com/movietips
