I'm not about to spend $1000. on a headlight, no matter how good the
Betty is.  There's been one negative comment about the Nighthawk
Emitter, does anyone have some positive experience?

   One very simple light I think you are missing that is much better for
   being noticed than all the bright lights you have currently.  Mount a
   small LED light on the handlebars pointing backwards so that it lights
   up your body (angle it so you don't get light in your eyes).  Wearing
   something with reflective stripes on it makes it even better.  People
   being able to see that its a cyclist coming towards them and not just
   some lights that could be anything, helps a great deal IMO. On a full
   size you can also rig a rear light on the mudguard pointing forward to
   illuminate your body from the back but on a PR its much more difficult
   though not impossible.
