=v= For that demographic, the fixie aesthetic still holds
strong strong in Brooklyn. A fixed-gear Friday should work,
especially since the terrain is mostly flat. There's also
a D.I.Y./retro aesthetic afoot, so an old folder that's been
fixed (such as Sheldon Brown's Raleigh Twenty) could have some
panache. My 1970s Bianchi Barbarella is popular throughout
Brooklyn, even in Williamsburg:

=v= There is an important koan of coolness, though. You're
admitted into a room filled with clothes of every possible
combination and description, and you're asked to select the
coolest outfit there. There is only one right answer.
