Saddlebags (such as Carradice) hold as much as a rack top bag and
don't require a rack.  The downside is that they get in the way of
the fold.  A rear rack will also make the fold a little bigger, but
a low profile one isn't too bad.

A good front platform rack is a great option for the Tikit.  The bike
handles better with a front load, and the platform rack handles large
front loads.  I love mine, but I don't know of a commercial source
where you can buy one (I built it, but I can't sell racks due to our
crazy legal system and my lack of insurance).
