My dual drive is working well for now and the solution came in serendipitously. On a ride last Friday, a guy with previous experience on dual drive heard my shifting problem. He came by and pulled the click box and let it "snap" back into place. Those who own dd know that it can play around a bit. After this we rode again and the shifting was fixed. Two things I noticed and this might help others: 1. The yellow indicator is aligned with the top of the "ladder" and not directly in the middle. 2. The adjuster of the barrell is pointing slightly downward.  It is working well for now and am going to keep on observing for recurence of my shifting problem. I don't know if the guy who pulled the clickbox fixed the problem or the fact that it is not aligned in the center or the adjuster barrel pointing downwards that did it but I'm contended with it. The barrell is rubbing against the frame and pointing it downwards could potentially help.
 
Maybe, the gods were listening that day or planets were aligned....or the guy that came by is a green gear service guy secretly sent by them to solve my problem (i never saw him again)
