[Yak] Brake/Tire clearance

I thought about this -- particularly since I am a fan of fat tires. However, from what I observe the pads would be shaped rather oddly -- lopsided -- in order for this to work. My guess is that the pads themselves would bend making them less effective at the most important aspect of brakes ... stopping the bike. Alternatively, you could have a fork where the cantilever mounts protrude out further from the fork arms. But that doesn't sound very robust either.

Subject: [Yak] Brake/Tire clearance
I've got a 2008 Bike Friday NWT with 47mm tires. In order to remove or
install the wheels I need to deflate the tires. When the brakes are
disconnected they rest on the front forks or rear chainstay. Has
anybody found a workaround for this? Maybe different brake pads?
Thanks,
Frank Mattheus
