Good catch - the HPV bents are nice.

If the OP is really keen on a folding/travel bent I'd head over to
www.bentrideronline.com <http://www.bentrideronline.com/> and ask what
people are using. You'll be sure to get all the options discussed.

HP Velotechnik also makes a folding recumbent called the Grasshopper. I
think they make a folding trike recumbent too.

Trice in the UK is making a folding/travel bike - not sure about the
dimensions packed.

Some Bacchetta owners have been traveling with their recumbents packed as
golf clubs/skis and not been charged extra. If you asked about this on the
Bacchetta website's forum you'll get all the details.

Finally Volae now offers all their bents with a break in half frame for even
more compact size when travelling - although I don't now the packed
dimensions. I've owned a Volae and the frames are hand made by Waterford in
the US beautiful bikes. If I needed a travel bent the Volae tour would be
one I'd take a close look at.

You can get a travel recumbent. Easy Racers now makes a recumbent
with S&S couplers, which packs into a 29" square airline-checkable
case, and the Fold rush, not a travel bike but the rear wheel folds
under the frame to make it more compact for storage or transport
in/on a car etc.
