[Yak] Now a question about tires for tandems

available 20 inch 451 Kevlar tires.

   I have 451 sized rims for my tandem. I'd like to know from other riders their experiences with their tires - what brand and how is the durability. My rear Primo Comet Kevlar is beginning to get smooth (at about 1000 miles) and I ordered a spare to take along - unfortunately, they don't fold too well. I think the folding ones are easy to bring along but may not be good for tandems - is this true? Does anyone use anything for flat protection? Slime vs Tire liners vs puncture proof inner tubes vs none. I've had one flat on the front wheel and I'm glad I used slime. The hole was at the base of the valve and not a puncture from road debris. The slime sealed it quickly enough to keep me from stopping.
