[Yak] where to store the suitcase and/or park the car

Even parking at a friend's house, on the street, can lead to being flagged as a derelict vehicle (ask me how I know this).
I just did a quick search for public storage, and found that PS (publicstorage.com) offers monthly vehicle storage/parking.
They're all over the US - I have no idea about other countries though.
The rates vary from $60/month to $100/month for outside parking. $2-3/day, not too bad. Beats airport parking for sure.
They seem to have a first-month for $1 teaser, but that probably needs a 3mo or 12mo commitment (don't know).

With respect to where to park your car - I find
this very tricky and it avoids doing lots of
trips that one might otherwise want to.
Some ideas:
1. leave it in airport parking (it isnt required that
you fly) - expensive.
2. find a hotel that is friendly to the idea
of leaving it in their car park and stay a night
or so on the way out and on the way back - pre-arranged
by phone of course
3. same as 3 but youth hostel
4. car dealer/repair shop - have your car
serviced and remain there while you are away
I've never done 1 and 4 but I have done 2 and 3
but only for just over a week.
Failing all this you need friends who live where
you want to leave it - or leave it at home and travel
there a different way.
With respect to where to leave the case - its sensible
to get the wheels and take it with you. I had this
problem in Italy before I had the wheels

I would say that buying the case without the wheels is
like buying socks without shoes.
Hope this helps.
