If you go to the Lido (long barrier Island on the edge of Venice Bay), riding is quite good.

If you're adventurous, you can ride to Mestra over the bridge.

But, no, riding in Venice proper ain't happening.  Wonderful place to walk, though.

there is one interesting ride, ferry hopping from Chioggia along the chain of islands that form the lagoon, including the only inhabited one, Lido.
