Thank you all for your advice, I think I am leaning to the NWT or the Crusoe
after some of the remarks and comments on the web. I don’t think my current
family and career obligations will allow me to do much more than overnight
or weekend touring, so the Crusoe might be viable. Has anyone had any
weight issues with the Crusoe? I ask because as I said, Clydesdale… The
Llama could be an option, but I have heard a lot of people like the lower
bottom bracket of the NWT and Crusoe. Is it that much of a difference? I’ll
be on the road 90% plus of the time.
The weight difference between bikes seems like a lot, but the 5 pounds
difference would be better lifted off my gut than the bike frame I think. I
might take the right opportunity with either model at this point. Anyone
have specific issues with the difference in the two? Can you put 50mm tires
on the Crusoe? Or the NWT? (Big Apples) Will he 1.75 Marathons work on
either bike?
So NWT, Crusoe or even Llama? Still pondering and open to each.
