[Yak] Where to go in central Italy?

I think we got ours when ordering a case from Sands Machinery, not thru a bike shop, but am not sure now....(3 yrs later).
What's great is that, in addition to the toughness of the material, a cover piece that is an inch or more longer than, say, seat post, stem or steerer mast will close up over the end and thus won't allow the piece to slide out in that direction.
The widest material won't do the main BF frame tube but two could be used as a wide enough cover.
I cut tabs in some covers so that they can go around corners, so that one long piece could be used to, for example, go down one fork leg, across the spacer and back up the other leg.
Does anyone have a clever solution to provent the steerer stub from chewing up the inside of the suitcase?

>> I used S&S frame protection material for the smaller frame tubes, seat mast, stem and bars. These are 7" or 9" wide rolls of padded ripstop nylon with Velcro along the edge. You cut to length, wrap around the frame member and it sticks to itself and protects well.
>> I ended up with a Samsonite Flite 31" because it was available at a Berkeley luggage shop. (I would have preferred the 30" Flite.) Lots of room and no excess airline charges, so far. It is a bit difficult when you get on an Intercity high-speed train and have to carry/drag it to the other other end of the car because that is where your seat is -- The wheels are of no use when the aisle is only 20 inches wide!
