[Yak] tire pressure as a function of tire width and weight

=v= I've read all of these postings with interest, and I
understand the theory, etc. But what I find when the rubber
hits the road is:

o If I don't pump the tires (or tyres, if you will) up to
    100psi, I get flats.

o If I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus, at 100psi, I get very
few flats (the rubber cement in my patch kit dries up!).

o I used to use Schwalbe Stelvios, at 100psi, which did
seem zippier but occasionally got flats.

o If I use Primo Comets, I get flats no matter what.

I don't weigh a whole lot (175lbs is normal for my height),
but these are my experiences. Thinner and high PSI works.
What's up with that?

=v= I've always wanted to try out Scorchers (because, hey,
http://scorcher.org/ is me), but never had the opportunity.
