Check out the app for OS LG 250k. The is an app for the Ordinance Survey maps of UK. These are set up to wrk on the iPhone. I'm not sure if these are useable on a Garmin GPS but if you have an iPhone they might be a good second reference. 
I'm doing LEJOG in Aug/Sept this year, might see you on the trail. Two of us will be using BF's.
