I've never had the Bike Friday trailer come apart but have had the cotter
pins on my original design BOB trailer fall off. I only lost one side so
it wasn't a huge issue for me.
Blue Locktite on the threads should prevent the bolts from working loose.
Beeswax is also good on the threads to keep the bolts from loosening.
